Firebird Theatre Co. proudly present our holiday production of A Christmas Carol. Charles Dickens’ classic tale of greed, regret, and redemption will be brought to vivid life this December at the Lodge at Mountaineer Square on Mt. Crested Butte by talented local actors. The play will keep the original spirit of Dickens’ story and have the piece set in Victorian England with amazing costumes and fun effects. Firebird’s A Christmas Carol will be a holiday tradition you’ll want to bring the whole family to for years to come!

The production will run for 6 days, from Dec. 18th-Dec. 23rd. Doors open at 6:30pm and show starts promptly at 7:00pm. Approximate runtime is 90 minutes, including one 10 minute Intermission. Seating is general first come, first served. Tickets available for purchase below or at the door (there is also a quick, 3-question survey to fill out in accordance with the Mt CB Ad Tax Grant fund – sorry for any inconvenience, it’s super quick and helpful to us!). Firebird is also partnering with Coffee Lab to provide free coffee, tea, and cookies for our audience. Stop by Coffee Lab (just down the hall around the corner from the show) and grab a tasty treat on us!

Firebird’s A Christmas Carol is suitable for ages 5 and up (with parental discretion for some brief frightening parts – it is a ghost story, after all!). Discounted tickets are available for Children under 18 and Seniors/Military with ID; a valid ID must be shown for each ticket or else be charged a $5 fee.

A Cratchit Family Christmas Food Drive!

Firebird is also proudly partnering with the Gunnison Country Food Pantry for a holiday food drive with this production! Bring a food item with you and get a discount on a future ticket to a Firebird production. All items go directly to the GCFP to be distributed this holiday season! What would the Cratchit Family enjoy for a Christmas feast? What do you enjoy for a family dinner? Bring something when you check in or buy tickets at our box office and receive a code for a discount on a future ticket and know that you helped a family in need this holiday season. Protein, shelf stable items, fresh fruit, and vegetables are the best things to donate. GCFP can accept whole, uncut produce as well as any food that is unopened and in the original packaging with a clear use by, sell by, freeze by, or stamped date (preferably with ingredients and allergen declaration label). For more information on what items are good to donate, see items 3-9 HERE. Thank you for helping the Gunnison Valley’s Tiny Tims have a merry Christmas!
